Tent Bound in Devils Bay
You can plan as much as you want, but your expectations are just that. Climbers Hazel Findlay, Alex Honnold, James Pearson and Mark Synnott take a few steps backwards as their climbing is thwarted in Devil’s Bay. Alex in-particular you can tell see’s this as a costly opportunity as they sit ten bound in Devils Bay.
Regardless of their own opinions of the expedition, it’s really neat to hear their thoughts when it doesn’t go as planned. Hazel said you can take neither your success nor your failures back with you. I see her point, when you untie there’s little left but a memory of what you climbed and your own satisfaction. I think she gave us something unique through this video, so maybe she’s wrong.
