An inspiration to all.
An inspiration to all.
Sharma doing what Sharma does….motivating every climber to get the eff off the computer. [I'll be at Golf Wall (Durango) in 2 hours]. His “relaxed” two finger pocket to set up his hook is oh so…casually badass. Much like him. He’s a pleasure to watch climb and listen to.
I also dugg this Black Diamond profile on Sarah Seeger in Germany. At around 4:00 she does an 8a traverse, which looks like such a blast. I’m a huge fan of traversing as you must focus so much on footwork. Great for training, or blowing out your shoulder like I did last weekend at Sailing Hawks (I believe I was hanging on my finger lock, and not engaging my shoulders). Reason number 10 billion I don’t often boulder - https://vimeo.com/47966920.
This is really more of a why do you climb segment, and it’s pretty accurate. Climbing is just a bi-product of us loving to be outdoors. It gives us something to do and somewhere to go. I love the community surrounding this activity so much.

I don’t think Sharma has to let go of many routes for long, but I can relate that when you let go and just go for it – you typically will nail the hold.

This video is by Johny Dawes, and it’s untitled. It should labeled something like determined and genuine love for climbing. The main subject Paul Pritchard is Disabled but not Unable - ppritchard.blogspot.com
A great quote from Johny’s website: “And if you really pay attention to the dance, the harder the route gets, the more blank and featureless it is, the better and more complex is the message you get from the rock.”
